More hike preparation. Practice hikes and neighbor encouragement.

Our neighbors, the Sisters from the Sisterhood of Saint Elizabeth, brought this beautiful cake over celebrating both the trail and The Painted Turtle!  That was so nice of them. Theresa and I will start our drive tomorrow night. We'll be taking a few stops along the way and now plan to start hiking the trail in just six days, March 31st. 

Training Hike 3/15 Patterson Creek

I took a training hike with my daughter's dog, Sawyer, today. That is Mt. Shasta in the background. Today was a little over eight miles with 25 pounds. I'm getting ready!
